Jepchirchir beats heat in Sapporo to win Olympic marathon

SAPPORO, Japan (AP) — Peres Jepchirchir led a 1-2 Kenyan finish in the women’s marathon, withstanding the heat and humidity while running through the streets of Sapporo.
